Verified Wellness Community Events
The Women in Wellness event was created with one goal in mind: bringing together women who value evidence-based wellness, meaningful conversation, and genuine community. In a world where health information on social media can often feel overwhelming and contradictory, Verified Wellness aims to create a space grounded in science, critical thinking, and sustainable habits that support long-term health.
That mission was reflected in the incredible group of women who gathered at Memorial Park in Houston for a morning of movement, connection, and conversation. The event began at Vibrant, a health-focused restaurant located in Memorial Park, where attendees grabbed a coffee or matcha and had the opportunity to connect before the walk began.
As women arrived, they met Kelly and Inge from Elastique Athletics and participated in a simple but thoughtful icebreaker activity. Each attendee took a quick polaroid photo and wrote their answer to the question, “What keeps you feeling well?” underneath it. Responses included movement, family time, Pilates, breathwork, reading, tennis, time outdoors, meaningful relationships, and matcha, among many others. These shared reflections became an easy and authentic way for women to connect through common values and experiences.
As the group walked through Memorial Park, conversations naturally unfolded around health, wellness, motherhood, entrepreneurship, and the realities of trying to prioritize well-being in busy lives. The event attracted an inspiring group of women from a variety of backgrounds and professions, including entrepreneurs, physical therapists, physicians, fertility specialists, wellness professionals, and plant-based chefs, all connected by a shared interest in living healthier and more intentional lives.
Events like Women in Wellness are an extension of what Verified Wellness represents online and in practice. Beyond evidence-based education, the goal is to foster a community where women feel supported, empowered, and encouraged to think critically about their health. True wellness is not built through perfection or extreme approaches, but through sustainable habits, supportive relationships, and environments that make healthy living feel realistic and attainable.
One of the most powerful reminders from the event was how much we have in common when we come together in person. In a culture that can often feel isolating or performative online, creating spaces for authentic connection matters. Social connection itself is a pillar of lifestyle medicine, and surrounding yourself with people who share similar values can positively influence the way you think, feel, and care for yourself.
If you attended Women in Wellness, we would love to see you again at our next event. If you were unable to make it this time, Verified Wellness will be hosting another community gathering, Connect & Sweat, on Friday, June 12th at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park. We hope you will join us for another opportunity to move your body, meet like-minded women, and continue building a community centered around sustainable, evidence-based wellness.
